The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces increasing in power within the city.

Note: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure follow below.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of characters who will separate from the primary party to embark on their separate journey, apart from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team includes Teor (played by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

The Reason for Division

With a large ensemble, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the personal journeys before branching into three distinct groups: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might appear out of place, but the actions of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

First, the group knows exactly where to head next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking the character, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.

The antagonist then paid off his debts and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, above the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each character has a individual motive to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, desires retribution.
  • The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a nasty location.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their position as important members in the influential clan could assist the team reach locations they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter pledged a life debt to The savior for his deliverance and will now go with him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and The cleric defied the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by the family.

This results in them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in search of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the warrior group won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight participants to round up the Explorers and Planners groups.

Fans can look forward to learning which players will be assigned to which table in the season’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on October 24.
